At least, according to this website, it is. Now, I haven't actually tried this myself, so it could be harder than it looks. And, anyone under 18 should get approval and help from an adult. But, they do have several "recipes" for making lava lamps, including a link to one that has a "Kids Version". (But, the approval thing sill applies!)

According to this article on Boston.com, the spammers have started attacking spam-blocking lists with DOS attacks. In at least one case, that attack shut down the blocking list permanently! So, now, they're going to force us to get their spam. I hope this can be traced and the scum doing this get shut down for good. Maybe even a little jail time. Yeah, that'd be nice.....
